ReShoot: Revolver

A hero gun asset for an unreleased VR arcade shooter ReShoot.

The game was to be heavily stylized and set within a 40’s toon style world.

Designed and created by myself.

The final revolver asset for the unreleased VR arcade shooter title. This was fully textured and ready for animation. Additional geometry was added in anticipation for exaggerated loony toons style animations.

Various blockout iterations were made for A/B testing in game. We wanted a design that felt like it sat in the loony toon’s world, but didn't want something that was too cartoonish, unreadable, and felt weak in the players hands.

Once a design was chosen, I A/B tested variations on the toon style. Many iterations were hard to read in VR, so we settled on the cleaner gradient style as it was more readable to the player. The intention was to then add a clean toon shader over the top
